The legal basis for using cookies is Article 6 (1) lit. b and f GDPR. If you do not wish this, you can set your internet browser so that it deletes cookies from your computer hard disk, blocks all cookies or warns you before a cookie is stored. However, we would like to point out that you may not be able to use all the functions of this website.
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). Google Analytics also uses a specific form of cookie which is stored on your computer and enables an analysis to be made of how you use the website. By order of Sirius GmbH, Google uses the information generated by Google Analytics to anonymously evaluate the use of the website and compile reports on the website activities. The legal basis for this use of data is Article 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. The IP address information collected by Google in this context cannot be viewed by Sirius GmbH or be linked to personal data. You may prevent these cookies from being saved by selecting the relevant settings on your internet browser. You may also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) as well as the processing of this data by Google by, for example, downloading and installing the available browser plug-in or by using the “Do not track” setting of your browser or corresponding add-on.
This website uses Google Maps from Google LLC (see above) to display geographical information on a map basis. The legal basis for this use of data is Article 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. When you use Google Maps, Google also collects, processes and uses data about how you use the map functions. For more information about how data is processed by Google, you can read Google’s Privacy Statement .
We use the Google service reCaptcha to determine whether a person or a computer is making a specific entry in the application form for our newsletter. Google LLC (see above) uses the following data to check whether you are a real person or a computer: IP address of the device you are using, the website you are visiting and into which the captcha has been integrated, the date and duration of the visit, the identification data of the browser and operating system being used, your Google account if you are logged into Google, mouse movements on the reCaptcha surfaces and tasks involving the identification of images. The legal basis for this processing of data is Article 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. Sirius GmbH has a legitimate interest in ensuring the security of our website and protecting us from automated input (attacks).
This website uses the social plug-ins of Facebook and Instagram. The respective plug-in is shown at the top of the page under the relevant logo. If this plug-in is called up by clicking the relevant button, a connection is established to the servers of Facebook, for example. In this way, the Facebook server receives information about our websites that you have visited. If you are logged into Facebook as a member, Facebook assigns this information to your personal Facebook account. This can be prevented by logging out of Facebook before visiting our website. For information about how Facebook and Instagram collect and use information, about your rights and possibilities of protecting your private sphere, please see the Privacy Statements of Facebook and Instagram.
Sirius GmbH uses the technical platform and services of Facebook Ireland Ltd, 4 Grand Canal Square Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland for the information provided here. Please note that you are individually accountable for the way in which you use this Facebook page and its functions. This applies in particular to the use of interactive functions (e.g. commenting, sharing, rating). When you visit our Facebook page, Facebook collects your IP address and other information available on your PC in the form of cookies. This information is used to provide us, the operator of the Facebook pages, with statistical information about how the Facebook page is used. You can find out more information about this from Facebook via Information.
The data collected about you in this context is processed by Facebook Ltd and is transferred where applicable to countries outside the European Union. Facebook explains the information it receives and how it uses this in its General Policies on Data Usage or Full Data Usage Policies. Here you can also find information on the possibilities of contacting Facebook and on setting up advertisements. The way in which Facebook uses the data from visits to Facebook pages for its own purposes, the extent to which activities on the Facebook pages are assigned to individual users, how long Facebook stores this data and whether data from visits to a Facebook page is passed on to third parties has not been conclusively and clearly explained by Facebook until now and is therefore not known to us.
When you access a Facebook page, the IP address assigned to your device is transmitted to Facebook. According to Facebook, this IP address is anonymised (in the case of “German” IP addresses) and deleted after 90 days. Facebook also stores information about its users’ end devices (e.g. as part of the “Login Notification” function); this means that Facebook might be able to assign IP addresses to individual users. If you are currently logged into Facebook as a user, a cookie with your Facebook ID can be found on your device. This enables Facebook to determine that you visited this page and how you used it. This also applies to all other Facebook pages. Facebook buttons integrated into websites allow Facebook to record your visits to these websites and assign them to your Facebook profile. Based on this data, you can be offered customised contents or advertising.
To avoid this, you should log out of Facebook or deactivate the “Stay signed in” button, delete the cookies on your device and exit and restart your browser. This makes it possible to delete any Facebook information that enables your identity to be directly established. This allows you to use our Facebook page without revealing your Facebook account. When you access interactive features of the website (the “Like” button, comments, sharings, news, etc.), a Facebook login screen appears. If you were to log in, you would again be recognisable to Facebook as a specific user. For information on how to manage or delete existing information about you, please visit the Facebook support pages.
This website may contain YouTube videos. When connecting to such a video, it is not possible to display the contents in the browser without third party providers being able to view the IP address. The IP address is required to display the contents. We are unable to influence the way in which YouTube handles the data. YouTube’s current privacy statement can be found at Google.
Our website contains links to external internet pages of third parties, the contents of which we are unable to influence. We therefore cannot assume any liability for these external contents or for the data protection measures being applied. The provider or operator of the website is always responsible for the contents of the linked pages and for the data protection measures being applied there. The linked pages were checked for possible legal infringements at the time they were linked. No illegal contents were recognizable at the time of linking. However, Sirius GmbH is not responsible for permanently checking the content of linked pages unless it has concrete evidence of legal infringements. We shall immediately remove such links if we become aware of any legal infringements.
